The BEAR Foundation was established by professional economists to make direct contributions to more inclusive and sustainable economic growth around the world. Half a century ago, domestication of fossil fuel energy triggered an innovation process that has improved living standards for many that are beyond the imagining of our ancestors.
Despite the fact we now have people who imagine themselves becoming trillionaires, a quarter of humanity still lives on less than $3 per day. By supporting human potential, sustained innovation, and stronger communities, the BEAR Foundation aspires to fulfill the promise of innovation to deliver prosperity and peace to all people.
BEAR sustains individual talent and commitment with a variety of fellowship and scholarship opportunities. Candidates are generally recruited by invitation, but enquiries from exceptional candidates are welcome.
